He was out, though not widely he was outed internationally by a former partner after expressing support for the Nazis. īukh was selected to the 1908 Olympic team, but did not compete, and then was coach of the gold-medal winning 1912 gymnastics team. After his success, he moved to the city to teach though rumors of him being gay were prevalent, and may be the reason he was fired from his teaching job, it was only confirmed by family after his death.
